Job Description
This role will be working with a major telco customer in Ireland. The Change Manager will work within the Operations team to co-ordinate network changes derived from projects, faults, or incidents. The Operations Back Office team is made up of highly skilled Technical Network Engineers, Technical Leads, and a Change Manager/Co-ordinator. The responsibilities of the team include implementing all network changes (low, medium, high risk/complexity) on the network. Depending on the complexity and/or risk of service impact, changes are scheduled either within or outside of normal working hours.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in Dublin office. Contractor opportunity, 6 months initial contract.

Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of the technical change queue, ensuring network changes are made efficiently, with minimum risk.
- Assess conflicts to determine the most appropriate time to commit changes on the production network to avoid unexpected consequences due to a clash with another scheduled change.
- Work in close collaboration with the Operations Tech Lead to map Operations Engineers with the appropriate skill-level to small/medium/high complexity network changes.
- Co-ordinate, schedule and prioritise network Change Requests (CRQ’s) according to business objectives, ensuring adherence to key SLAs and KPIs.
- Participate as a major stakeholder at CAB and eCAB meetings
- Daily administration of the Operations Change Request Booking Tool to ensure all change requests are processed/accommodated.
- Chair the weekly Change Planning Meetings and weekly change prioritisation meetings, recording actions and updating relevant stakeholders i.e., Project Managers, Business Owners and create/circulate the change schedule.
- Facilitate for post change validation management
- Host post implementation reviews for any changes resulting in unforeseen impacts, documenting/sharing preventative measures to be taken to prevent recurrence.
Key skills
- Change manager experience in a technical network environment
- Good understanding of network principles and able to demonstrate having worked in similar environment
- Ability and confidence to be able to challenge people on upcoming environmental changes and assess the impact of proposed changes
- ITIL qualification and/or 4 years of proven experience of ITIL principles and methodology
- Project Management certification, MSP, PRINCE, PMP.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment and handle multiple competing priorities
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as a team player to contribute to overall IP Networks Team effectiveness
