Our client is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the migration of their high-availability LAMP stack into a containerized environment. In this critical role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to standardize tools and processes, driving consistency and efficiency across operations. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in optimizing infrastructure while ensuring seamless scalability and reliability.
Required:
- Extensive experience managing high-availability virtual machine (VM) infrastructures.
- Practical expertise with containerization technologies and migration strategies.
- Solid background working with LAMP stack environments.
- Expertise in containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Helm.
- Experience with SSH and system management on AlmaLinux.
- Strong understanding of penetration testing and security best practices.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms and iPaaS (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Advanced scripting abilities (e.g., Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a global team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration of our LAMP stack to a containerized platform
- Ensure high-availability systems, maintaining uptime of over 99.95%.
- Implement and manage container orchestration tools.
- Collaborate with external partners for penetration testing and apply security best practices to protect our infrastructure.
- Work closely with teams to establish standardized tools, workflows, and best practices.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support critical systems.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliability and security.
- Develop automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency and streamline deployments.
- Stay informed about industry trends and integrate relevant new technologies
Preferred:
- Experience scaling LAMP-based applications.
- Background in migrating from virtual machines to containerized environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Azure certifications or equivalent experience.
