Field & Application Support Engineer
Permanent opportunity in Co. Kildare, in-person role for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer
Job Description
In this role you will be mainly required to perform the following duties:
- Installations of IP phones , switches, routers, firewalls
- Work with structure cabling and Voice Cabling
- Understanding of IP services
- Pull Cat 5e / Cat 6 / Cat 6A Cable
- Pull Fibre Optic Cable
- Pull Multicore Cable
- Install Cabinets and racks
- Test and terminate Cat 5e / Cat 6 / Cat 6A Cable
- Troubleshoot and Terminate Multicore Cable
- Fault Find basic wiring Problems
- Patching and Jumpering Circuits
- Take Lead and Work on own initiative
- Liaise with customer and attend site meetings
- Handle support tickets over the following channels: email, webchat, phone calls
- Support the following applications: mobile app, desktop app, web app, chrome app, integration apps
- Handle number porting
- Extensively handle installation processes across the country
Job Requirements
Must have:
- Experience in structured cabling systems
- Experience with customer support
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage projects efficiently and see through to completion.
- Working knowledge of switching and routing an advantage
- A full driving license
