Job Details –
Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Global Projects to lead and manage the global project management function. The ideal candidate will oversee project teams across multiple regions, manage escalations, define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensure high project completion rates, and work closely with product teams to ensure alignment between project outcomes and business objectives.
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in project management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role managing global teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is preferred.
- Proven success in leading large-scale, complex projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing escalations and resolving conflicts.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a global project management strategy that aligns with the organization's overall objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing, globally distributed project management team.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the project management function.
Project Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the full project portfolio, ensuring all initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans for effective execution and delivery.
- Ensure optimal resource allocation and utilization across projects to maximize efficiency.
Escalation and Risk Management:
- Act as the primary escalation point for all project-related challenges.
- Design and implement robust escalation protocols to swiftly and effectively address issues.
- Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts.
KPI Development and Monitoring:
- Establish, monitor, and review KPIs to assess project performance, team productivity, and overall success.
- Regularly evaluate KPI data and adjust strategies to meet or exceed performance targets.
- Ensure KPIs are aligned with the organization’s long-term goals and strategic priorities.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, product teams, and external partners.
- Provide clear, consistent communication regarding project progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback to continuously refine and improve project processes.
Process Improvement:
- Lead initiatives to enhance project management methodologies and workflows.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and integrate them into the organization’s project management framework.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
